Travel Guide Publishers
In addition to the publishers mentioned on the previous page, a few of the other main publishers who print travel guides and resources about Europe:
http://www.letsgo.com/ A subsidiary of Harvard Student Agencies, Inc. Flagship publication, "Let's Go: Europe." One of the most popular guides for American college students.
http://www.travelmatters.com/. Avalon Travel Publishers, who produce Rick Steves' books as well as series on specialty travel and living abroad.
http://www.frommers.com/. The original publisher of "Europe on $5 a Day" back in 1957. Longtime publisher of travel guides, but no longer bare-bones travel. Other well known publishers include Fodors (http://www.fodors.com/shop/category.cfm?category=seeit), and the Berlitz series of language and travel guides (http://www.berlitzpublishing.com/).
The French Michelin Green Guides (http://www.viamichelin.com/viamichelin/gbr/tpl/hme/MaHomePage.htm) are comprehensive for history, culture and sights in particular regions, as are the British Blue Guides (http://www.blueguides.com/).
There are also many, many titles for specialty travelers: bikers, hikers, seniors, gay and lesbian, travelers with children, etc., which you can find online, at the library, or at larger bookstores.
